From the Latin meaning "student", used today to refer to graduates:

Alumni = (plural; masculine) refers to a group of both male and female graduates as well as a group of male graduates.

Alumnae = (plural, female) refers to a group of female graduates

Alumnus = (singular, masculine) refers to an individual male graduate

Alumna = (singular; female) refers to an individual female graduate
