Services:
Resident Card Holder Application Requirements:
For your convenience, you may set up an appointment with the Circulation Manager, to complete the application process for obtaining a Resident library card: email <libcircdesk@masters.edu> or call (661)362-2272.
Resident card holders may check out up to 5 items at a time and have an overdue limit of 2 items at any one time before a STOP is placed on his/her card.
A STOP on an account prohibits the patron from checking out any more materials until the fine is paid or the overdue items are returned. A STOP will be placed on a patron's account, if a patron's fines and fees reach $2.50 or, if the overdue limit of two items at any given time is exceeded.
Overdue fines are 25¢ per day for 4 weeks. Items not returned within four weeks of the check-out date will be considered lost and a $70 lost item fee will apply (see "Replacement costs" below) As a courtesy, reminder notices will be emailed 2 days before the due date and again on the day the item is due.
Replacement costs for lost items is $60.00 per item plus a $10.00 processing fee. Patrons may reduce the $60 lost item fee by purchasing a new copy of the same edition at their own expense, however the processing fee and any overdue fees will still apply. There is a $25.00 fee for each damaged item.
Recalled Items
The Circulation Manager reserves the right to recall an item that is needed for the support of the current curriculum. If such a request is made, please return the item immediately. Failure to return recalled items within three days will incur a fine of $1.00 per day for a maximum of five days.
*The library director reserves the right to deny or revoke library privileges to any visitor or resident card holder at anytime.
